     Limousine for guests

One of my neighbors is getting married. We live in a small, close-knit neighborhood. Is it acceptable for the invited guests to rent a (non-white) limo for transportation to/from the wedding and reception? There will be about 10 of us and alcoholic beverages will be served at the reception, 15 miles from our home. Thanks!

Dear Limo,

As long as it doesn't look as if you are part of the bridal party it is fine. Please have the driver park away from the wedding site and drop you off away from the front of the reception site. This should do it.

I appreciate your thoughtfulness. Drinking and driving is never appropriate.
