Transportation from the wedding: no limo available!
My fiance and I are getting married April 30, and just recently found out that there are numerous proms in our area. The problem is we can't find a limo. Is it okay for the bride and groom to drive away after the wedding on their own? If so, should we get a driver, or can the groom drive. Should we have the wedding party follow us in their own cars, or what? Two of my bridesmaids are my sisters, both have children in the wedding, and one sister is going to have a newborn with her. Would it be better to have them go with their families after the wedding and maybe meet us at a certain time so we can walk into the reception hall together? Please Help! What is proper etiquette here?

Hello Mandi,
What I do for my clients in this situation is try to locate a Vintage Car Rental company in your area. If that doesn't work, rent a nice SUV and you and your Groom drive to the Reception site. You'll need the time alone to take in the moment once you're married. Don't have family members follow you. Just meet everyone at the Reception venue. Once you all meet up, proceed into the Reception as planned.
