Who is in the limo after the wedding?

Who typically rides in the limo after the wedding to the reception hall? I thought everyone in the bridal party does but my fiancee said that usually it's just the bride and groom. I have 2 children. Both are in the wedding party. They have always wanted to ride in a limo. If what he says is true then should the party including my kids not go with us? Should I not worry about the kids wanting a limo ride and savor the alone moment for me and my future husband?

Dear Who Rides,

It can include anyone you wish, although it is typically either the bridal couple alone or them and their attendants. Children are not typically included. But, all of this is your choice.

If you don't include your attendants, you should provide some transportation for them.

Best wishes,
