We have arranged to have a navigator stretch limo, to take me and my bridesmaids and flower girls to the reception (6 people) and after the wedding, my new husband, and his groomsmen as well...which will fill the limo. his parents are apying for it, so should I be asking them to ride in it as well? Is it offensive to invite one set of parents, and not the others? BRIDE

Re: [melanie] who rides with the bridal party?

Dear Who Rides,
It depends on what you'll be doing when you leave the ceremony. Will you and the bridal party be going directly to the reception or will you be making stops for photos? If you are going directly to the reception, I suggest that you ask the attendants to ride with their partners and ask the parents (both sets) to ride in the limo with you and the groom. Just a suggestion, but it would not be right to ask one and not the other set of parents.
Another consideration is do the parents want to get right to the reception for the cocktail time, they may not want to wait for all of the pictures to be done and may want to leave as soon as they are done.
The best thing is to talk to them...they may have no desire to ride in it and then you'll have your answer. Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com
