24 days to go and no sign of dresses!!!!

I need to vent. Or maybe I need your advise. Im losing sleep over this one.

Its 23 days until my wedding and my bridesmaids dresses are not in yet!

A month ago the lady at the store said they would be in no later than September 15. Now its the 21st and still no sign. So we called her again and she said, "The dresses are being shipped and now they are in Montreal Quebec." (Im in Ontario). She said they would be in this week. So Far no call back from her. In fact I left her a message 3 days ago and she didn't call me back!

She keeps changing the days the dresses are suppose to be in.

Should I start thinking of a back up? I have never waited this long for the dresses. (From my experience from being a bridesmaid for other weddings).

What is a back up with 23 days left? What about the deposit that they all gave....

Do we have time? They all still need alterations! (We ordered then in early May)

What type of back up would I do and how much longer should I wait?

Is this normal not to have the dresses yet?

Thanks!

First, read over your contract. See if you have any legal leverage. Then, GO to the shop. Forget about calling. If you absolutely cannot go there then call daily. Insist that they give you some sort of documentation from the manufacturer which specifies shipping information to make sure they they have indeed been shipped. The squeaky wheel gets the oil.

Let us know what happens.
