Bad to mix Ivory and White dresses?

Found a fabulous bridal gown that's a faded diamond white that looks light ivory, so we built wedding colors around ivory and midnight blue... bridesmaids in mn blue, flowers and decorations ivory and mn blue, etc. challenge: our jr bridesmaids & flower girls have fallen in love with dresses only available in white. (jr bms have white tops, mn blue bottoms) Folks are telling us mixing white with an ivory bridal gown is a major faux pas and will make the gown look 'dingy'. We're also going white with the groom's shirt and getting same comments. Interested in your opinion... how bad is it really? Thanks!

You can get creative and introduce an extra color. You can use Dusty Rose color for Junior BM and Flower Girls with Midnight Blue sash. Dusty rose can be also included into flowers, therefore bringing the entire color combination together. Groom's shirt should be white; it's not going to clash with any of the women's dresses. Enjoy the wedding!
