Is it okay to have the bridesmaids wear long black dresses with a lavender sash? The guys are going to be in black tuxes as well. I will be in white. Will that be too much black or too formal? Thanks, tiff

Dear Tiff,
Black is very popular and appropriate. I'm not sure about the formality though. If the men are in tuxedos, this seems fine. The ceremony should be in the evening though, as tuxedos are formal evening attire.
