I am curious to what you think about chocolate brown bridesmaid dresses in a July evening wedding. I have found the dress I want my bridesmaids to wear and I absolutely love it. The color is called Truffle. I am completely back and forth with what to have groom & groomsmen wear. Fiance' has suggested tan tux with brown shirt, vest & tie? Since it is outdoors and summer time I didn't think black tux would be appropriate but I may be wrong?
Also, any input on flowers. I want callas and thought about burnt orange for bridesmaids & maroon for me w/the orange as well. But, then what about the white callas? As you can see I am very indecisive and am just looking for some input and or ideas. I am so worried that what I pick will not go together, it's driving me crazy!
I appreciate you taking the time to read my post and I look forward to any advice or suggestions.
Thank you.

Re: [jlilly_s] Chocolate brown in July?

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Although chocolate brown is a bit unusual choice for July, if you love the dresses, go for it! The dresses can be accessorized with Gold tone jewelry and if your bridesmaids will get gold-tone or Chamagne color sandals or shoes, that would lighten the look. Make sure their purses coordinate with shoes. As for the groomsmen, the tan or cream color tuxes sound good if yours is a formal wedding. For daytime, you can go for suits in the same colors for them. Brown shirt, vest and tie sounds like a bit too much brown. You can select a tie for them that reflects the color of the bridesmaids' shoes, or you can stay with with brown shirt and tie, and get a champagne or light gold vests for them. Either way, it will look very elegant. As for the flowers, the colors sound good, but you have to really discuss it with a good florist and go over some pictures with them to see what white callas would go best with. You can also page through some bridal magazines and if you see a bouquet that you like, bring the photos with you to the florist. I am sure your wedding will be beautiful! Enjoy it!
