     Color of Bridesmaid shoes

My dress is white with crystal accents, and my bridesmaid dresses are cinnamon. My Matron keeps saying I need to choose silver shoes for the bridesmaid dresses because of my crystal accents.

The dresses are floor length and I thought a copper color would be nice for the shoes. I never heard of the Bridal party's ensemble weighing so heavily on the Bride's dress and veil color. Is this common? I don't think cinnamon and silver are going to flow with my Fall themed color scheme.

Please help!

Dear Bride-to-Be,

It isn't necessary for the bridesmaids' dresses to match the brides. Just because you have silver in the beading doesn't mean that their shoes should be silver. Their shoes should match what they are wearing. I think you are right on target having the girls wearing copper shoes. Copper is a great Fall color and will look great with their cinnamon dresses.

Good luck,
