Colors to Coordinate with Red for Mothers of the Bride/Groom Dresses
My wedding is in the summer and the colors are dark red, silver, and white. Unfortunately, I have a complicated family situation - 2 MOBs and 1 MOG and it would be near impossible to get them to communicate together about what they are wearing. If a mother asks me what colors would go with my color theme, what should I tell them - other than the obvious dark red and silver?

Dear Lots of Moms,
They shouldn't wear exactly the same colors as your bridesmaids. However, if silver is an accent color, that would be a good place to start. Black and shades that blend with red are great too. Perhaps you could give them a color wheel and let them go.
The mother who raised you chooses her outfit based on your bridesmaids' dresses. Hers should be the same length and formality of theirs and coordinate with their colors. The other mothers coordinate with her. Typically your step mother would not dress as a mother, but as a guest. If you think of her as a mother, then she would dress as one.

Thank you for your advice :) If you could direct me (perhaps by link) to a color wheel so I could see the colors that would match best, I would greatly appreciate it.

Do a search online for a color wheel since we are not really color experts.
