Does the bride tell her bridesmais how to look

Does the brides get to tell the bridesmaid what to wear as far as nail polish - black at the top with a little pink, hair up - it doesn't look good that way, flat shoes I am top heavy and the shoes make me look short and dumpy wearing flat shoes black witht bright pinkdress.

Is the Bride supposed to tell the bridesmaids what to wear from the nail polish, shoes, hair and dress? What if you don't like it?

The bride typically selects the dresses, accessories and hairstyles. We hope that they make selections with the bridesmaids in mind. Please speak to the bride about her choices carefully and respectfully, explaining how you feel and why you think there needs to be a change, and hopefully she can make alternate decisions. But, when you agre to be a bridesmaid you should note that you'll have to agree to wear what the bride selects.
