I am the mother of the bride and my daughter is driving me crazy. Her wedding is scheduled for May, but she has always wanted a fall/winter wedding so she wants fall colors --- orange, rust, brown. The main problem is the colors she's choosing for her bridesmaid dresses. First, she wanted brown and burnt orange which I and everybody else thought was hideous. We suggested brown with a soft pink or blue. She wasn't having that. She then picked cream bridesmaid dresses with fall colors for the decorations and flowers. We told her cream was too light because her wedding dress is ivory. Now she has changed to a soft yellow (butter) with fall decorations and flowers. We still think that is too light a color and will not put the spotlight on her. We are unable to see her vision. If you see it or can help with it I will truly appreciate it!

If she wants Fall colors then the brown and burnt orange would be a good choice - even for May. Maybe she could go a few shades lighter on the burnt orange to come up with a dark peach. I happen to like all of those colors together, sorry. But, it's really her choice. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

I agree. This is her wedding and she is the boss here. I also agree that, to me anyway, the colors are very nice together. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now

Chocolate brown and rust or burnt orange are actually very hot colors right now - especially together. Adapt it a bit for spring by incorporating various shades of orange - especially peach, and the palette will be beautiful - you just have to think a little outside the box.
