Ok, I hate to admitt this but I am an obsessive color matcher. I think that there is nothing worse than someone wearing a pink dress with black shoes. I will search high and low to find a purse and shoes that match perfectly!!! Now my problem.....
I am in a wedding this August that I have spent $260 on the bridesmaid dress. I am 6ft tall and my shoes will show. The bride wants us all to go out and buy black strappy shoes. The other girls shoes will more than likely not show, mine will. I can't comprehend wearing black shoes with a red dress. Nude colored shoes or red would be fine(perferably the exact red) but black makes me stomach turn. I know that I was raised with an obsessive mother that taught me to follow all the "fashion" rules. But am I being rediciulous in wanting to match. I figure if we have already bought a $260 ugly dress whats another $30 for shoes. Should I say something to the bride or just grin and bear it?

Although the black shoes would definitely match the red dress, it doesn't hurt to ask the bride if she's considered any other color choices for shoes. Maybe she didn't consider the possibility of nude shoes with the red dress or red shoes with the red dress. Or maybe she just loves the black shoes with the red dress. Maybe the red & black work better with her whole color scheme for the wedding. Regardless, you'll never know until you ask her. But if she's set on the black shoes with the red dress, just grin and bear it! I'm sure it will look great!
