Ivory Bridesmaid Dress Color for Ocean Theme Wedding
I am getting married on the beach. My wedding gown is "diamond white". I'm trying to choose a bridesmaid dress color, but have a problem. I want my bouquet to consist of pale pink roses and pink peonies. I somehow want to introduce "ocean blue" hues into the ceremony also, and have some decorations that do this. But do pink and blue look right together? I'm not sure that will work or how I can make it work. Can I solve possible color conflict by using an ivory bridesmaid dress with a colored sash/ If so, blue or pink? Help...I have no idea how to pull this off. Thank you!!

I would never use ivory with diamond white together because the ivory will appear dirty next to the white.
Blue and pink usually work well together. But stick with two colors along with white. Another color, which is very popular now, is lime green which goes well with light pink and can be coordinated with flowers easily because of the green stems and leaves most flowers have. But if you're looking for a beach type feel, stick with colors found in nature. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
Get yourself some fabric swatches and hold them up to one another to see what you like. Be sure to consult with your florist. She/he will be invaluable in helping you select your color scheme. They are typically very visual people and are experts with color, design and decorations.

I totally agree with the Moderator. You should be the only woman in the wedding wearing white. Aside from flower girls, avoid having anyone wearing too light a color - it will DEFINITELY take away from your dress, especially in group photos. Yes, pink and light blue work well together. Have your bridesmaids in light blue, ocean blue or even seafoam color dresses with ivory sash, and make sure the pink color of the flowers in your bouquet would correspond to theirs. This is fantastic advice, thank you for your clear direction and ideas. Should the bridesmaid flowers incorporate any color other than pinks (mine won't), and do you think the color palette should be just blues, pinks, ivory....or would it look nice to also use accents of a light green (maybe seafoam)?
Again, thank you so very much for helping. I was totally lost on what to do!!
I always LOVE Irina's advice, but for this one, I prefer white sashes, not ivory, if you have sashes at all. If you're using white, no ivory. If you;re using ivory, no white.
