Length of bridesmaids dresses with cutaway

I am getting married at 2 PM in January. The groom will be wearing a cutaway or stroller. What is the appropriate length for the bridesmaid dresses? My gown will be long.

Dear Dressing Properly,

They can wear tea or full length dresses. If you found very nice dresses, these could even be shorter. But, typically, people expect the tea or full length dresses.

Best wishes,

Would the color of the cutaway or stroller be black for the 2 PM wedding rather than gray?

Since the stroller is less formal than the cutaway, would just below the knee be an appropriate length for the bridesmaids dresses? The fabric will be Dupioni Silk. Is that fabric suitable for a January wedding?

Thanks for your help.

Either color is fine. The dresses could definitely be just below the knee.
