Hi! I have seen similar posts regarding bridesmaids changing outfits, but my post is slightly different. When the bride and I chose my MOH outfit she stated that she did not want all the bridesmaids to wear the same style, just the same color, so I purchased a two piece, flattering outfit. Two weeks later, she informed me that her fiance has told her all bridesmaids must wear the same style dresses. Therefore, she ordered me another dress to wear, which is completely unflattering. She told me I could change into the original dress after the photo's. Is this acceptable even if she said she does not mind? I don't want people questioning this decision as I don't want to tell other's what happened as I know the bride would not want people to know. Thank you in advance for any replies.

Dear MOH,
Normally, it wouldn't be polite. But, if she says that she doesn't mind if you change dresses, then it is fine. She is the boss here. It is admirable that you are concerned how it could reflect on her.
