The bride has her 17 year old sister (who has had a rough couple years) as MOH. Bride wants MOH to feel special and chose a different color & style dress than the other bridesmaids. Five will be in mauve, strapless, tea-length dresses. MOH will be in a chocolate dress with thin straps, tea-length in front & tapers off almost to the floor in the back. Groomsmen will be in brown suits. Bride & groom will be in ivory. Bride was happy until someone said it would look funny. I say whatever bride wants... Do you think this is okay? What about pictures?

Mauve and brown coordinate well, no worries there, but, brown suits? I'm not a big fan of brown suits. But, you didn;t ask about that. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

Is there anything actually wrong with brown suits or is your dislike just your personal opinion? The bride saw your reply and is second-guessing her decision. Too much $$$ has been spent to change now and we are on a very tight budget. Thank you.

If you cannot change suit colors then don't worry about it. The issue is more with suits in business then in this type of setting. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
