My boyfriend's coworker got legally married (through the local courthouse) to her husband about 1-2 years ago. I'm not too sure how to call it, but tomorrow they are having a "reception" of sorts. My boyfriend asked the coworker, what kind of attire to wear, and she replied with "It's kinda on the formal side, definitely no jeans." So he's wearing a black suit with a medium blue and white striped bottom-up shirt with no tie. I have a dress picked out, but would like to know if it's appropriate for this evening event. I attached it to this post. I have a picture of me wearing it with a brown sweater, but i won't want to wear the sweater...maybe the white shawl that's in the other picture? I would greatly appreciate an immediate reply since my boyfriend just told me about it today ... and it's tomorrow evening!!!
