Selecting bridesmaid's dresses when bridesmaid lives out of state
My one bridesmaid is planning on moving to Texas between now and my wedding. We live in New Jersey and, while the wedding isn't for a year and a half, I'm still confused about when to have her pick out, purchase and come for dress alterations. Is there a possibility of being able to do all of that during a week or two (obviously a lot closer to the wedding date) or do these things take months to work on? She definitely wants to be my bridesmaid regardless of whee she lives.
Is there a way to get it done within two weeks or so? How far in advance can it be done?

This does not have to be an ordeal. She can purchase a dress where she lives and take care of all of the alterations. If you have a particular dress in mind, send her the information and she can take it to a local bridal shop and have the dress shipped there.
