     Tea length or longer?

I am having an evening outdoor wedding in June, with a sit-down dinner reception afterwards. I would probably classify it as semi-formal. Is it ok for my maid of honor to wear a tea length dress?
(I've heard mixed things about tea length - some say it's the latest trend, and others say it's not formal enough).

Dear Chi,

Material and detail will relay more of the formality than length alone. Yes, tea length has been known as less formal than full length. But, unless your is very formal, this should be fine. Just make sure that the material appears to be in the same formality as your event.

Best wishes,
