Too young to wear black for a wedding?

I am getting married October 31st of this year. My half-sister will be my one and only bridesmaid/maid of honor. She is 13 years old. Since it is halloween, I would really like her to wear black but my mother is insisting she is too young to wear black. Ihave never heard of such a saying. Is this something you've heard of and if it is "true" is there another color that you can suggest besides black? please help me! Frown

Dear Loves the Black,

There is no such rule. If you love the black, go for it. The only concern would be that she be dressed age appropriately--not too revealing. Other than that, the color is fine.

Best wishes,

Although I agree that it is fine for her to wear black, you may want to meet your mom in the middle and have her wear a different color.

You also may want to consider a platinum/charcoal, or even a chocolate brown.

Best Wishes!
