I am a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding. We recently tried on bridesmaid dresses and chose a very nice style of dress that flatters all of us. The color that the bride chose is a very bold, bright tangerine orange that looks neon against certain backgrounds. Unfortunately, this color looks terrible with my pale, blue toned skin and this is the only shade of orange offered by the bridal company.
Any suggestions on how to improve this situation? I do not want to suggest to my friend any change in her chosen color since this is her special day and her favorite color is orange.
I am looking for suggestions along the lines of self tanner, using other accents to soften the effect of the orange, or any other ideas you may have.
Thanks for your help.
Sincerely,
Tangerine

Dear Tangerine, you are thinking in the right direction. A good self-tanner will make a huge difference. My suggestion would be to get a milder, "gradual" tanner like Jergens' - available at your local drug store; just make sure that it is not for MEDIUM, but for LIGHT skin tones. Try the product for a week ahead of time and see how it works right for you. Good luck and enjoy the wedding! Irina Feygin, IMpeccable iMage, Inc. Image and Beauty and For Princess Bride
