What on earth is wrong with my dress?!

What on earth is wrong with my dress?!

Okay. My sister's wedding is coming up, and for reasons completely unknown to myself, she decided to have me wear this white sort of slinky dress. When we purchased the dress (I think we got it at Strawbridge's, just off the rack) it fit perfectly, no problems at all.

However, I just tried it on the other day, and the zipper is doing this weird... puckering sort of thing. The zipper line basically has these three or four big hills along it, and it almost looks like my spine is just poking out unbelievably far. It's pretty weird. I tried ironing it flat, but no dice.

I haven't gained any weight since I bought the dress, and it's not behaving like it's too tight. I just can't figure it out. I'll see if I can get pictures on here later.
Anyone know what could be wrong with my dress and how I could go about fixing it?

It sounds like the ziper is doing that because of the material. I don't know what your dress is made out of, but I do know that materials like silk and other clingy fabrics tend to do weird things at the ziper.

Your best bet is going to a seamstress/tailor and asking their opinion on the situation. Maybe the ziper is too thick/heavy for your dress and they can attach one that works better. I really can't say exactly why it is happening, but a seamstress can probably fix the problem.

Good luck,
