What should bridesmaid wear to rehearsal dinner?

My older brother is getting married and I am a bridesmaid. I have absolutely no idea for what to wear to the rehearsal dinner. It's a restaurant, nothing formal, but I want to set a good impression. My younger sister and I are both the youngest in the wedding and all the girls were the brides friends from her sorority. We want look good, but not over dressed. So, what should I wear?

Rehearsal dinners are traditionally very casual unless specified otherwise on the invitation. A nice party dress would be perfect.

I agree. A conservative and age appropriate "little black dress" should work well.
