     Who buys bridesmaids shoes

One of my bridesmaids implied that I am supposed to buy her shoes. Is this true, is it some sort of tradition or is she just loopey?

I'm not going to say if she's loopey Crazy but all bridesmaids purchase their own dresses and accessories.

Does it matter if the wedding is in another country or that I already paid for the dresses and jewelry?

No. If you told the bridesmaids that you would purchase the dresses maybe they assumed this meant the accessories too. You should discuss this with them. But, bridesmaids should know that when they agree to be in a wedding that they also agree to purchase the dress and accessories as well as a wedding gift.

Note that you should be paying for the bridal party's lodging though.
