     colour matching bridal party

My friend is having trouble picking out colours for her bridal party that won't clash with her own dress. Her dress is an olive green base colour with metallic flecks of wine red and gold. She's picked out possibly a wine red colour for her bridesmaids. The main problem lies with her flower girls dress. She's about 8 yrs old, and is a little overweight (hate to bring this up however it is important). My friend was thinking of going for gold but was wondering if that was a less flattering colour. She wants everyone to feel comfortable. Another detail that may help, the wedding is being held in a forest by the beach so there is a very earthy, more casual feel to the day.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated I am sure and look forward to hearing some ideas.

Try to find a dress for a flower girl that is not of uniformly gold color, but has a sash or other detailing in wine red, just like the bridesmaids' dresses. The contrasting color detailing will break the uniformly gold tone of the dress and will look more flattering on the flower girl. Enjoy the wedding!
