     discontinued color of bridesmaid dress

Recently asked to be in a family wedding. Bride told me to go the bridal shop (David's Bridal) and pick out any style dress I wanted in "Celedon". Well seems they are discontinuing that color and the styles they have left do nothing for me. The bride also told her other bridesmaid to do the same thing. She lives in another state. What are the chances these dress will even match in color? I found a dress I like from another store. Color is listed as "Celedon". But, every vendor has a different name for the same colors. I want out of this wedding, but my mother is paying my expenses to keep peace in the family. HELP!Unsure

Yes, that's "Celedon" not Celadon!

Ask the bride to provide a swatch so you can all match colors.

It would have been nice and the proper thing to do, but NO. I am on a search for swatches, and hoping for the best.

Tell the bride that if she wants continuity that she should provide the swatch.
