     red shoes for bridesmaids?

Hello,

My wedding is in October. My six bridesmaid are going to be wearing black tea-length bridesmaid dresses. My colors are red and black. A few of us were talking about maybe having the bridesmaids wear red shoes. Not anything crazy, just more fun! I was wondering if all bridesmaids should wear the same shoes? Are the red shoes appropriate?

Thanks so much!

Remember that this is your wedding day and you generally are open to however you want to make it as memorable and enjoyable for yourself. So here's to your red shoes. First, each bridesmaid should have the same exact shoe style and color. This way you avoid having different looking shoes and varied shades of red. To balance the red bridesmaid’s shoes, if you haven’t already, I’d also suggest having the ushers wear a similar red flower or red tie to match and for balance.

Congratulations on your wedding and have fun!

I totally agree with Yooni: go for red shoes! Just make sure it coordinates with bridesmaids' bouquets (either have red flowers in them or red ribbon to coordinate with shoes). Enjoy the wedding!
