     trying to accomodate

I tend to be a very picky person. I have always wanted the over the top, prom type, long skirt, bridesmaid dresses. I have recently awoken to the fact, that getting stuck with a dress you are never going to wear again stinks. So my question is, do i go with the bridesmaid dresses that Ive always wanted, or do i accomodate my bridesmaids and pick something that they might actually have a chance of wearing again? Im not opposed to this idea, im just wondering if its rude or mean.

Also, I have various size bridesmaids. Do i pick a style that fits the masses, or the one that flatters the heaviest?

Thanks for your insite.

Consideration is one of the three C's to wedding planning. Allowing your bridesmaids to purchase a dress they may use again is definitely showing consideration for them. As to finding something that flatters each of their shapes, defer to the expertise of the salon from where the dresses will be selected.

Bless you for caring about these ladies...very refreshing indeed!

I think you might be able to find a style that could be a good compromise. Perhaps selecting a style that could be tailored after the event? As Rhonda suggested, speak to the sales people at your local salon. Bring the bridesmaids along so that they can all try the dresses. Many times what you think might be flattering isn't and vice versa. Besides, the shopping is part of the fun! Enjoy.
