     wedding colors

Hi, I am 26 years old and I have two children. I will be getting married next February. My brides maids will be wearing black, the flower girl will be in red and I will be in white. My mother was very upset about the colors, should I be more considerate of her thoughts about the colors. She said it was very rude to have those colors in a wedding. Do you think this is true?

Dear Tiny,

These colors are fine these days, but it wasn't always so. In the past, we were so conservative and stuck on a limited color range. Thank goodness that is not the case today. The bride can even wear black. And, it is very common for the bridesmaids to wear black.

Please ask mom to visit us. We can smooth over these troubled waters or at least give it a go. Wink

Best wishes,
