I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding and the bride wants us to wear yellow dresses. The dresses she has chosen come with a matching yellow belt but she wants to cover that with a brown sash. She also wants us to wear BROWN shoes. I think it will look hideous and I think the yellow dresses will clash with the sunflowers she has chosen as her flowers. I think chocolate or latte colored dresses would look much nicer with the yellow sunflowers, but I don't know if I should or can suggest this to her. We're not very good friends, but she asked me because she's marrying my cousin. Am I at all right about any of my color opinions? Would the brown shoes look horrible with the yellow dresses? Will the sunflowers clash with the yellow dresses? Can I suggest brown dresses instead? I don't know what to do, but I want to look nice and I want her wedding to look good too. I feel like I'm the only one in her bridal party that has any fashion sense. Am I being too picky??!?!

You have to follow the bride's wishes and wear whatever she suggests. After all, brown goes well with many shades of yellow, and brown and yellow is exactly the colors of sunflowers! So it is going to be an interesting and refreshing combination. Relax, and enjoy the wedding! Irina Feygin, IMpeccable iMage, Inc. Image and Beauty and For Princess Bride

I completely agree. It just may look awesome. And, it is her choice. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
