     Baby Tuxedo?

We are attending two different weddings in August. One wedding my husband is a groomsman and the other we are just guests. We have 1 year old twins and they do not own a suit or even a shirt and tie, however they do own tuxedos. Is it appropriate if they are not in the wedding for the babies to wear tuxedos or do we need to find another alternative? The tuxedos are black with tails. One of the weddings is at 4:00pm (my husband is not in this wedding). The other wedding is at 6:30pm and my husband is in this wedding and wearing a tuxedo. However, it does not specify "black tie".

Dear Mom,

No. Although they would look cute, it wouldn't be appropriate. They are not in the wedding party, so this would appear as if you were trying to 'steal' the show. If they are invited, they could simply wear what they would to a nice restaurant.

Best wishes,
