     Flower Girl Dress

My daughter is to be a flower girl in a wedding this weekend and the Bride insisted on having her dress made and she is paying for the dress. I did offer to pay for the dress and she declined. Now it is just 3 days before the wedding and she wants to keep the dress after the wedding. This will break my daughters heart. What do I do????

Can you speak honestly with the bride and let her know how your daughter feels? But perhaps there is a reason the bride wants to keep this dress and that is why she insisted on paying? If not, then offer to pay for it. If she declines then you'll have to explain this to your daughter (after the wedding, of course.)

Unfortunately life is full of disappointments and this is one that won't be too difficult for your daughter to experience. Consider it a life lesson and move on. Kids are pretty resilient.
