Flower girl dress color is ivory, brides dress is white

I have purchased a beautiful white dress with a touch of champagne colored detail. The mother of the flower girl already has a dress I love that she purchased for her daughter to be in a wedding a few months ago. The dress is ivory, though. If the bride's dress is white, should the flower girl's dress be white as well? I hate to make her buy the same dress in a different color.

If the flower girl's dress picks up the champagne details in the bridal gown, and doesn't contrast too loudly with the bridesmaids' dresses, you're probably fine. If they just look like they've been chosen for different weddings, you may need to find an alternate dress.
