Mismatched colors for junior bridesmaids dresses and flower girl dress
My daughter's chosen colors are very light blue, ivory and brownish rust color. The flower girl will be wearing an ivory tea length dress with a light blue sash. The three bridesmaids will be wearing a brownish/rust tea length dress with a blue sash. Is it appropriate for the junior bridesmaids to wear a tea length light blue dress with an ivory sash? The dresses have all been bought. Now, I have been told by a lady at a "fine children's clothing store" that it will look like a mixed mash parading down the aisle. This is hurtful. What is your opinion? Thanks.

I think brown and blue go well together, but I would have to see the actual color since rust can be more red than brown. But, if the dresses have been purchased, and the bride likes them, no worries. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

That was a tactless remark on behalf of the salesperson, totally uncalled for. The colors you mention are well-coordinated; the length of the dresses is uniformly tea length. Thank you for your reply. The brownish/rust color is similar to an older looking penny in color.....brownish with a slightly coppery sheen. I thank you again.
