My son is 2, and a ring bearer in two weddings. Both brides have agreed on a black Eton suit with a white shirt (evening and very formal)... I have no earthly idea what he's supposed to wear on his feet! White socks? Black shoes? Oxford-type shoes? Help!
Maybe I should try to convince them to go with a white Eton suit??? That would make socks and shoes very easy...

He would wear black dress shoes and black socks. The Oxford style would work.

You definitely want him to wear black shoes and socks. If he is in white shoes and/or socks, his feet will stick out like a sore thumb. By keeping his feet the same color as his pants he will look adorable and perfect for this formal wedding.

Oh my goodness, this is so stressful! Okay, the brides have okay'd the black suit, but I can't find black knee socks anywhere online! I can buy white, or ivory, or navy, or hunter green, but no black...
So what do people do who buy these black eton suits? I'm really thinking of going with the ivory suit instead, just to avoid this whole sock/shoe issue.
Thanks for your help.

No worries; just do a search for boy's dress socks and I'm sure you'll find a pair of black knee socks for your little ring bearer. Try calling around to local children's shops as well. Ask the place you purchased the eton suit if they have accessories. These socks should not be that difficult to find and switching now that both brides have agreed to the same suit might not work. If you are going to switch please be sure to check with the brides before making the purchase. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
