buying custom made jr bridesmaid's dresses ahead of time

My 2 older children are in my wedding acting as junior bridesmaids. My wedding isn't until next year, Sept 06, but I would really like to get their dresses soon since I have the money for them now. Honestly, the more I get now the better. I am having their dresses custom made, but since the wedding isnt until next year, I wonder what to do. I don't think they will grow much between now and then, but when getting their dresses made, should I go with their measurements now and ask to have an allowance just in case? Thanks.

The best thing to do is to have the designer give some allowance. This way next year, if the girls did grow the designer doesn't have to worry about adding fabric and maybe changing the look of the dress. Get your designers opinion, too. She/He is the expert, and I am sure they have been in this type of situation before.

Good luck,
