     Mother of the Groom Dress

HELP!!! My son is getting married in a few weeks in Vegas it is a tropical theme. the brides maids will be wearing sage the grooms men in black tuxes with sage ties. The fathers in black tuxes with black ties. The MOB has a tea length dress that is a light forrst green. I bought a soft rose color dress which is floor length(was a great deal at $100 off) so NOW the bride tells me the flowers are orange irises and doesnt want thing to clash. Now I am not rich and yes I did talk to her before I went and got the dress I thought the rose would compliment very well, so I found another dress in a dark sage but that is another $150 what would you suggest of course I sont want to stick out like a sore thumb I want to compliment the bridal party. Do I have to buy another dress or is my rose choice ok which I suppose I could save for my daughters wedding.

Dear Mother of the Groom,

Don't worry, your dress will not stick out or clash. The rose dress will compliment all of the other colors. Rose is in the pink family, which is joined by shades of sage and celadon, different hues of purples and lavendars, and different tones of soft pinks and magenta, to orange and tangerine colors. These are all tropical colors, which fits in perfect with the theme of the wedding.

If you want to incorporate sage into your dress, just add some accessories. You can wear a cute sage beaded ristlet, or even a handbag with more than one color. Like a combination of pinks, oranges, greens, and purples. Have fun with the accessorizing, your in Vegas!

Good luck,
