My daughter is getting married in late Nov. in a midday ceremony. Would it be ok to wear a dressy black skirt/jacket suit with gold trim on the front collar? The 2 bridesmaids are wearing a short dress with a black top and a black lace overlaying a champagne bottom half.

As long as your attire is not more formal than the bridesmaids, you are fine. But, ask the bride if she minds if you dress in black. Many brides welcome the unified look of black.
