Hi - my step (bonus) daughter is getting married on a Friday evening - formal wedding. Her bridesmaids are wearing peridot which looks different in every picture - but appears sort of greyish green (pretty)- the groom and other guys are wearing tux's with peridot vest and tie and so is my husband (FOB)
The MOG is wearing a pale pink long dress - the MOB thinks she is going to wear chocolate brown long satin skirt and top. (still undetermined) What do I wear? I have two sons, step son and husband all in the wedding wearing the peridot accents. I have been looking for something to blend with the other mothers and not be flashy etc.
Any suggestions would be so appreciated.
Thanks

Dear Bonusmom,
The stepmother is often treated as one of the guests and not as one of the mothers. So, it may be best to find out if you are being seated as special. If so, then you would coordinate with and not dress more formally than the other mothers.
Green is created with blue and yellow. So, you could pull from those colors.

Yes I forgot to mention that I was told I would be treated as a mother. Will blue or yellow go with pink or brown? I plan to wait until the bride's mother has purchased her dress before I do anything. Thanks for your help.

I would choose lighter shades of those colors, but yes. Brown has yellow in it and pink and blue are the classic baby colors. So, those are just two colors you can play with. But, there are many more too. Just stay away from red. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
