My daughter is getting married in April. Her bridesmaids are wearing black dresses and carrying red flowers. The groomsmen are wearing black tuxedos with red vests and ties. I'm stressing a little over the dress I have.
I found a lovely floorlength gown in Bluestone. It's a light, silvery blue. I'm just not sure if it's an appropriate color. I'm not sure what colors would compliment this wedding. My daughter thinks the dress will be fine (although she's only seen it online and not in person - since we live quite a distance apart), but I'm just not sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Red and black aren't typically colors for spring, so I think that might what's throwing you off a bit.
I'd prefer to see you in colors that coordinate better with red such as pink or even in black. If I were selecting blue, I'd probably go with more of a jewel toned blue like navy, but that doesn't seem right for spring.
Perhaps you could send your daughter a swatch of your dress so she can hold it next to her red accessories to see how it looks together. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

Congratulations on your daughter's wedding! Silvery blue would work fine with the color selections for the wedding; however, if you chose black, or darker shades of blue, that would work even better. Consider trying a black gown and see if you are comfortable. If not, go for silvery blue-it will work fine. Enjoy the wedding! Irina Feygin, IMpeccable iMage, Inc.
