I would like some advice on the right color choice for my dress. My son is getting married in early June. The wedding is at 5 pm, with a formal reception at 7 pm. The bridesmaids are wearing tea length, sleeveless dresses in "azalea". The mother of the bride is wearing a "clover green" dress. I'm 47, 5'2", very petite (size 2), and look better in browns(both light and dark), bronze, salmon colors - but light beiges and yellows don't work well on me. Could I get some advice on a color and length that would coordinate with the rest of the wedding party please? While I don't want to look "frumpy", I also don't want to "compete" with the bride's mother either.
Thanks for your help.

Dear Deeconner,
I'm not the best at suggesting colors, but I can chime in on the dress itself. It should be in the same formality as the MOB, without being more formal. It should also be conservative, so no strapless gowns, red or anything too bright.

I totally agree that most importantly, the dress should be the same formality as MOB. Color-wise, salmon would clash with azalea color. If you look good in bronze or gold tones, that would blend beautifully with both azalea and clover green colors. Enjoy the wedding! Irina Feygin, IMpeccable iMage, Inc.
