I am having trouble finding something that I like to wear to my son's wedding over Memorial Day weekend. I have not been contacted by the bride at all regarding colors etc... My son is clueless. He told me the bridesmaids were wearing sage, now he informs me they are wearing sea green.
I found something in black, but I doubt that this will be acceptable. If no one contacts me regarding the color of the MOB's dress can I wear black?
I am baffled by the lack of communication. This is the bride's second marriage, my son's first. She is pulling out all of the stops.
Can someone advise me?
Thanks,
cste

My first advice is to talk directly to the bride. Communicate with her your need to know so that you can make an acceptable choice. Black is acceptable but I would still talk to the bride first. Absolutely. The MOB really should have contacted you about her dress and your should coordinate with hers. Perhaps you should contact her.

Yes, you should get in touch with the bride and or the mother of the bride. If that doesn't work then black is completely acceptable and always an elegant choice.
