Good colors for a June wedding

My daughter is getting married outdoors in June 2009. Her MOH and bridesmaids' dresses are celedon and champagne Green and beige). My future son-in-law's mother is wearing a navy dress, but my daughter would like the colors to compliment her dress. I personally think navy will be too dark and am curious about what colors would be appropriate for a June wedding

Congratulations on your daughter's wedding! Indeed, deep dark colors like Eggplant and Navy are considered more "wintery". Etiquette dictates that Mother of the Bride select her dress first, then Mother of the Groom coordinates her dress color and style with her. This is a delicate situation, because you don't want to upset MOG by suggesting that she selected the wrong color. "Summery" colors are usually much lighter and more delicate. Take her along when dress-shopping for yourself (if possible) and seek advice of an experienced sales person at the dress shop. Good luck and enjoy the wedding!
