     Ivory color for MOG dress?

Hi - You gave me some good advice last month, now I'm back with another question on color. Bride wearing white, attendants wearing black, MOB wearing taupe, long, formal. Today I found a long, ivory dress with taupe accents (but mostly ivory color). Would ivory be appropriate. I didn't see any silver or champagne. As always, thank you so much for this forum and for your time in helping all who post here.

Congratulations on your son's wedding! Ivory is a beautiful color, but it's a bit too light for the Mother of the Groom, could be conflicting with the bride's dress, even if it's white. If that would be vice-versa: Taupe with Ivory accents, that would be totally appropriate. I know it's not easy to find a perfect dress, but maybe you could look some more! Check out webistes of Jovani and/or Mon Cheri; they have excellent styles for MOG dresses; then find out if your local stores carry these gorgeous designs. Good luck and enjoy the wedding!

Thanks so much. Bride said it was ok (but she hasn't seen actual dress). Of course, sales lady said it was perfect; but as much as I love the dress, I had my doubts; thus my post. I'll keep looking.
