MOB is wearing very pretty,very light green (seamist) short dress with jacket, sequins on jacket. Bridesmaids in pink, mid-November wedding, 4 PM. As MOG I know I'll wear a short dress, but should I also stay with a light color? It's tough to find for Fall, but I'm not sure that a deeper color is appropriate. Bride says wear anything, but her generation seems not to have heard about certain customs. I'm not sure what to do.

An unusual choice of colors for November wedding, but I suggest you select the light colored dress to stay blended with the bridal party. You can use beige though, which can be made very pretty with sequins, even with darker shade of sequins, and be in the Fall mode and within the lite shades at the same time.
