MOB & MOG dresses for morning wedding....

Hello,

My wedding will be in May of 2006. It will be an intimate wedding (15-20 guests). I'm in search of a dress for my Mom. What type of dress is appropriate for a mid morning wedding? I read that beading is more for a formal wedding. I'm wondering what is appropriate? I found a 2 piece outfit that is a jacket with chiffon pants and a simple rhinestone closure on the jacket. The color of the outfit compliments the color of my wedding. Would that be OK? What would I suggest the MOG wear then? The only thing I suggested to the MOG was to wear a color that doesn't clash. I don't have any bridesmaids so the MOB and MOG dresses are the only thing I have to worry about when it comes to color coordinating.

Thank You,

Carol Smile

Dear Carol,

Your mother's dress would reflect the formality of your wedding. Beading and rhinestones are typically worn for formal evening weddings. It is difficult to know exactly what should be worn without knowing how formal this will be and where it will be held.

If your wedding is formal, then perhaps the outfit you have chosen is fine, depending on the visual effect of the rhinestones.

Why not allow your mother to choose her dress and she can tell the MOG her choice so she can choose?

Best wishes,
