My daughter is getting married in early Sept. Her colors are Pistachio and white. The wedding is formal, but she has told me that I don't have to wear a dress. I would like to, but I don't know what color to wear, or what length since I would prefer not a formal dress. If I choose not to wear a dress, what would be appropriate?

The wedding is in the early afternoon. My daughter's dress is full length,all white, and the bridesmaid's are all wearing pistachio knee length dresses.
