MOB dress same color different shade as Bridal Party
My daughter is getting married in May. The bridal party is wearing light pink knee length dresses. My daughter has picked a long darker pink dress for me to wear. Is this proper?

Dear Ncbrunson,
Normally you would wear the same length as the bridesmaids, but the bride is the boss here. Also, length is just one of the components of formality. As long as the dress is in the same formality as the bridesmaids' dresses, it is fine.
