My daughter is getting married in late June with a formal, evening reception. Her dress is ivory, has a sweetheart neckline with ruched bodice and up-tucks on the skirt. She's adding a silver and pearl belt. The nine bridesmaids are wearing gunmetal gray knee-length, with sweetheart necklines, matching sashes and up-tucked skirts. Flower colors are yet to be decided. I have read previous posts that indicate that MOB's should mirror the bridesmaids but can't I wear floor length? I would prefer that even to tea-length and I am definately not a knee length gal anymore. I'm a young 50's, average build but don't like my calves!

Re: MOB dress to mirror bridesmaids length?

Dear Conway,
Your dress shouldn't be more formal than the bridesmaids. So, if the long dress is more formal than theirs, it is a problem. It would be better to wear dress that is not so formal.
